When you meet Cherri Richardson of North Hills, Pennsylvania, you quickly realize she isn’t just a Habitat homeowner. She’s a community builder, a storyteller, a caretaker, and a force of nature. Habitat MontDelco was excited to have 17 students and four advisors from Holy Family University, a private university in Philadelphia, join us for their ASB trip from March 1-4. In pre-pandemic times, Holy Family University was able to assemble a group of 30 to 40 student volunteers to travel for their alternative spring break trip.

Habitat MontDelco has had the privilege of having our very own AmeriCorps member this year, Michelle Thomas. She has been serving as our AmeriCorps Homeowner Service Coordinator since the beginning of November. In her first five months with us, she has continued to build relationships with our neighborhood revitalization partners, helped welcome the four new families for our Hatfield homes and ensured we have more accessible applications and processes moving forward.
