VOLUNTEER

Individual Volunteers
Want to make a difference in your community? Volunteering with us is flexible, and there is truly something for everyone at Habitat MontDelco! Whether your interests are in new home construction, home repair, or ReStore retail operations, we welcome individuals of all skill levels and backgrounds.
ReStore
Our Habitat ReStores are home improvement thrift stores that support our mission by providing valuable funding to our programs. Volunteers may assist with unloading trucks, prepping inventory, pricing, customer support, and other tasks.
Become a Core Volunteer
Our Core Volunteers are the heart and soul of our volunteer program, as they are regularly onsite to assist with builds or in the ReStore.
Construction
Construction volunteers make a tangible difference on our build and home repair sites. No construction experience is necessary.
Community Service
Looking to satisfy community service hours? We can help! We often see these volunteers long after the time commitment has been satisfied!
Group Volunteers
Our home construction, rehabs, and repairs are made possible through the labor of our dedicated volunteers working side by side with our homeowner families. Volunteers make a difference with a day’s work and a connection with a family moving towards stability and homeownership. We have plenty of opportunities that match your skill set.
Company Team Building
We’ve hosted companies of all sizes who engage their employees and encourage stronger relationships while learning new skills.
Faith-Based Group Volunteers
Building with Habitat MontDelco gives people of all faiths an opportunity to create a community of compassion through service, putting faith and love into action.

Volunteer FAQ
How do I sign up to volunteer? To volunteer with us, head to our volunteer portal and create an account. From there, you will be able to select the opportunity you wish to volunteer for such as the West Norriton ReStore or our new ReStore in North Wales! You are welcome to sign up for any volunteer shift you would like to, and you do not have to stay for the entire duration of the shift. We appreciate all the time committed to our mission, whether it be 30 minutes or 30 hours!
Do I need construction experience to volunteer for a Build Day? No construction experience is necessary to volunteer with us on the job site! Although, willingness to learn, work hard, and flexibility is appreciated when joining us for a volunteer day. Every helping hand, experienced or not, makes a difference!
Are there age restrictions for volunteering? 14–17 year-olds must volunteer with a supervising adult aged 21+. ReStore: Our ReStores welcome volunteers aged 14+ due to Habitat for Humanity safety restrictions. Construction: Due to safety reasons, all construction volunteers must be at least 18 years or older. On special occasions 16-17 year olds are permitted on the construction site when no power tools or ladders are being used.
What will I be doing on the construction site? While volunteer tasks may vary depending on the stage of construction, all jobs done by volunteers are equally important to the completion of the home. Jobs may include demolition, dry wall, painting, and more! We just ask that you bring flexibility and a good attitude to the job site as volunteer tasks are ever changing.
What is the time commitment for volunteering? ReStore: Our ReStores are open from 9:00am-5:00pm and we welcome volunteers to join us for however long your schedule allows! Volunteers must sign up for a shift prior to arriving, but you do not have to stay the entire duration of the volunteering shift. Any amount of volunteering time you give is never time wasted. Construction: Construction volunteers must be on site by 9:00 am to attend the construction orientation and safety briefing. There is about 30-45 minutes allocated for lunch at 12:00pm and the day usually concludes around 3:00pm. Any volunteer that arrives after the 9:00am safety briefing will not be permitted to volunteer.
Are there any restrictions for volunteers with physical or intellectual disabilities? At Habitat for Humanity MontDelco, we welcome any volunteer who wants to make a difference in their community! We offer many kinds of volunteer tasks and can accommodate any need such as no heavy lifting, ladders, etc. If you have specific questions, please reach out to volunteer@habitatmontdelco.org
